All schools across the country are currently on their long Holiday break, which comes with festivities. They are expected back to school after celebrating Christmas and a new year January 2019.

The holiday might be extended longer, since a teachers union seem not to be in good terms with the government. Said Reporter.
Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) on Wednesday announced a nation wide teacher’s strike slated to begin on January 2(second).
The union was forced to declare the strike after Teacher’s Service Commission (TSC) violated labour rights. Revealed by KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion.
Wilson Sossion stated that “We can’t promise you that the new year will start well… parents should adjust their budgets very well because the Christmas will be extended into the new year.”
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) was accused of “de-professionalising the teaching profession”. By Mr Wilson Sossion, in a televised press conference.
